Promotion!!

Sorry I haven't been around. I've been working very hard for a promotion...AND I GOT IT!! I'm staying in my position, but I have been give full time status and benefits, as well as a transfer to a brand new store up the street from my house. I'm VERY excited to get started!! I am also ready to get back to posting. Even if its a short post daily, I want to make sure I'm getting something out there. So PLEASE keep reading!! I really appreciate knowing y'all are still with me!!

Promotion

Sorry I've lost track of schedule. I actually was just given a promotion & raise at work!! That being said, my hours have increased & I am reconfiguring my schedule in the process.

It's a great promotion that will give me more responsibilities and opportunities for growth within the company. This is my second promotion in two years & I feel good that the company keeps showing the initiative and response towards my hard work and loyalty.

Hopefully, things will calm down in a week or so & I will be able to get back to regular programming. In the meantime, I hope ya'll are doing fabulous & look forward to catching up on your blogs!!

Shopping Sunday

Welcome to my new blog schedule!! I've come up with some fun days that will help me to highlight different aspects of my life, shine some spotlight on my favorite bloggers, and share some ideas and interests.
Today is Shopping Sunday!! On Shopping Sunday, I will focus on two of my favorite things in the world - shopping & fashion!! A different store will be highlighted each week with the products that catch my eye from the website.
I don't know about ya'll, but I use fashion as one my biggest weight loss motivators. I studied fashion in school & love to dress up! Right now, at my current size, it's difficult to find fashion I love that fits. It doesn't help that I've always been very large up top (even at my thinnest, I had bigger boobs than most)...but I've finally learned to live with those & show them off properly. Now...I just gotta lose the weight because I'm ready to start shopping wherever again!!
As the weight drops, I think you'll start to see more pictures of me trying on clothes that I've been dying to try on & some of my favorite purchases as I build up my wardrobe again. Actually, you'll probably see the pictures of me building up my wardrobe currently...but that's just my shopping addiction at it's best.

This week, I will focus on my own store, Aerosoles. With the fall coming quickly, we've started receiving some of our boots & I LOOOOVE boots! Check out some of my favorite products now!!

Cityscape: I am absolutely in love with this shoe. We haven't received it yet in store, but I saw it early on our product posters and instantly knew it was for me. It has such a gorgeous classic look that is beautifully sophisticated & professional. I can't wait to try it on & fall in love with it in person! (source)

Gather All: This boot promotes the "gather" wedge for us & it's a wedge I've tried before that I know I love. This boot brings that great wedge along with a super cute look. In the fall & winter, I am ALL about leggings. This is a boot that will look so cute with them that I can't wait to match up all my outfits to the shoe! I still haven't decided on colors yet...but the boot itself is something I'm definitely sold on! (source)

Plum What May: This is a boot I saw on our product poster, but didn't really catch my attention until I saw it on the website. It's very cute with the buckle & extra layer on the ankle. The wedge is one that I already own & love, so I know it'll feel great on my feet. I have so many outfits that I know it would look great with, that I can't wait to get my hands on this boot when it comes in!! (source)

11.5 hours later...

My feet are swollen & I have sold over $1700 in shoes. Black Friday was a success at our store & I am feeling it!! I barely ate today because the adrenaline was running high & am in bed at 6 pm about ready to pass out.

How was ya'lls Black Friday?? Did anybody do any shopping?? Did anybody else work it??

Thanks for remembering to be kind to your salespeople!! We work REALLY hard & give up our holiday time to help you. We had excellent customers at our store today & it made me so happy to work for a company that treats their customer right and gets treated right in return :-)

NEW BOOTS!!

Nothing to make me feel better than new boots :-) I've wanted this pair for a few months now, so I finally broke down and got them.

I've been under so much stress and pressure lately that I just needed something to make it better. Kind of a reward to myself for handling everything to the best of my ability.

I'll post some pictures of them later. But for tonight...WINE NIGHT!! I'm super excited because it's another relaxation that I just need right now!!

As for eating...I must admit, it's been a little off as of late. I'm just super stressed and I know I shouldn't give in to my temptations...but it's just tough right now. Luckily, I have been working out...so that's helping a little bit. And I am still hitting my calories for the day without going over...I'm just not really doing it in the right way.

I guess we'll see what happens this Wednesday!!

NEW BOOTS!!

So, being that the only other Aerosoles store in the state of North Carolina is located in Charlotte, we of course HAD to stop by there well we were in town. And, being the prepared girly that I am, I checked to see if they had a particular boot that I was DYING to get since it was shipped to our store in Raleigh-Durham on Monday. However, they didn't ship my size in the brown to the store I work at...but they did to Charlotte!!

So...lo and behold, I am now the proud owner of these adorable Aerosoles boots--Serial Port!!

I am absolutely obsessed with them. Yesterday was pretty much a shopping day. I got some much needed cover-ups for this strapless black dress that I haven't been able to wear to work because I haven't had anything to cover my shoulders. Then I got this really cute scarf that was just too pretty to pass up. I also got a Vera Bradley curling iron cover to use on my straightener, which was another thing that I just really liked, so figured why not.

We also discovered this spicy lentil thing at Costco that was soooo good, everyone with us ended up buying a box of it!! I'll have to post more about this later, plus some pictures!!

I'm really proud that I've found the time to post every morning since this trip started. We'll see how well that lasts once we hit the beach, but it's nice to know I can keep everyone updated on my trip!!

New Shoes!!

So...I went ahead and bought some new shoes at work today. I realized that every time someone was checking out, I would get nervous that they were buying MY shoes. I figured that meant that I HAD to get them!!

I'm trying to focus on eating fruits this week because I feel like I don't eat them enough. Salads as well, although I already eat those all the time. Plus, this is the start of my true workout plan. So, hopefully it goes well and we see a nice change in weight in the upcoming weeks.
